Murukku (“we”, “us”) operates the waitlist at murukku.app. This page explains what we collect when you join the waitlist, why we collect it, and how to remove your data.
What we collect
When you submit the waitlist form, we store:
- Child name and email address
- Child age and city
- Parent name and email address
- Community or background you selected
- How you heard about Murukku (referral source)
- The timestamp of your submission
We do not collect payment information, photos, messages, or any other personal data during the waitlist phase.
Why we collect it
- To email you a confirmation that you’re on the waitlist and to notify you when Murukku opens for signups.
- To plan the order in which we admit users (city, community, and age cohort are used for early access prioritization).
- To understand which channels are driving signups so we can spend outreach effort accordingly.
Third parties we use
- Google reCAPTCHA v2 for bot protection on the signup form. Google sets cookies and may collect IP address and device data per its own privacy policy.
- Resend for sending transactional emails (the waitlist confirmation and future launch announcement).
- Hostinger hosts the application server and database.
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers.
Data retention
We keep waitlist submissions until Murukku launches publicly, at which point they migrate into your account if you choose to sign up. If you request deletion (see below) we remove your row from the waitlist database within 30 days.
How to delete your data
Email privacy@murukku.app from the address you signed up with. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
